I sell Toyotas, and got tired of having to tell my customers that I drove a VW Jetta to work. Decided to sell the Jetta and buy an old 4cyl high mileage truck so I could brag about Toyota dependability :D

So I bought this thing on Craigslist for $850. Sold the hammered camper for $150 and have put about $100 more into basic maint. items. Had the frontend recall stuff done at the Toyota dealership, replaced the idler arm and fixed the squeaky steering stops.

Behold the transformation...

5/8" heater hose over the steering stops with a shot of grease in the end fixed the squeaks. Sorry about the bad blackberry pics.

Got started on the flatbed...

Have to build the sides and the headache rack and put the deck in, but I think it turned out well. Next up is u-joints, front fenders and the windshield.

Tire Clearance. Wanted to leave enough room for the 32's to articulate. Maybe too much. I dunno

You guys keep raggin on me and I might leave the 28's on there and take some cool poser shots. May even get a tire off the ground.....:hillbilly:

Bed turned out halfway decent. I'm thinking a set of TRXUS MT's on steelies might be in the near future, as well as a 6k winch for the back.
