I have a 1986 Toyota pu and want to do a solid front axel swap, i have a lot of extra cruiser axels sitting around would either BJ40, BJ60 or BJ70 front axels be close to the same width. Thanks for the help

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know how to find out. Get a tape measure out and measure the width of em! Then check the rest of the measurements and compare to yours.

It will be easier with an p-u axle. Then there is a change to get the right gears in it too. And the diffs are interchangeable.

But all the cruiser axles you mention are more heavy duty... so they will be stronger. And if you use it, I would also change the rear one. BJ70 series is preferable in my opinion.

Ya i know i could go mearsure them im just not around them at the moment, all cruisers have off set rears, but there is a transmision out of a prado i know of that will bolt up to the 2.4 diesel thats in my truck and has a landcruiser transfer case on it so i could go with both the 70 series axels. I guess i will just have to wait till i can go measure them and find out what will work best
