I want to say I used ‘92 as my application. If my memory serves me right, they are the same from 88-04.

Well, we did not get them to fit on his 86.
I did however put mine on my 88, and they went right on, all I did was remove the return spring.
I do believe the shoes are the issue, and would be in keeping with what GRM says.
So, after I get done with my dash project we will be swapping out shoes on his, I will circle back to let you know how it went.

Which ones from rock auto off a 92? It seems like there are multiples and I apparently have already bought the wrong ones haha.
