Ok, so I'm trying to replace my accelerator cable in my truck with no luck, truck was originally an 84 4x4 with a 22r that got wrecked, cab was replaced with what I believe was an 85 model 2wd cab, I don't remember if the throttle cable was transferred over from the orig cab or if the 85 2wd cable was used. Recently the motor was put in and 85 4x4 truck that originally had a 22re in it, accelerator cable was swapped and everything worked fine, now I'm needing to replace the cable and I'm finding it impossible to find, need help and or pics of y'all's throttle cable/bracket because something is not right here!!!

I'm a little confused... are you saying the truck has a 22RE in it now?
Do you have the VIN from the truck where the current engine came from? That should be the correct one to get the proper cable. Carb and EFI cables are not the same.

The truck has a 22r in it now as well as the cable from the 22r truck, but the cable is I'm bad shape and in need of replacement, have ordered multiple cables from parts stores for multiple years of truck/motor combos with no luck, thinking maybe my bracket is different or has been replaced or modified by a prev owner
