looking in to doing the strait six swap useing all stock drivetrain. ive heard the 85 pickup has a stronger trans than the earlier years. and it has the strait axle for the clearance of the oil pan. wondering how it works out in the long run. dont want to be left stranded in the foothills cause of the extra stress on the drivetrain. looks like a cake walk swap to do. mainly just looking for info on the cons of it.
