Truck looks good. The only problem i can see with the bed is the that there's no veg tank built into it. I was thinking about building one of those tanks/tool boxes with a hot fox in it.

Also, I think there's more snow here than in WV.

Yeah, I'm not worrying about veggie quite yet. I think I need to spend some time with the truck on diesel with the new bed, new tires, etc. before worrying about that. I've got a couple options for tanks here at the house. I was thinking about rebuilding the headboard at some point and building a tank in it, but I'll probably just put one in next to the regular fuel tank under the bed. With a 5" lift, you can really get under the vehicle to work on it. I can sit upright under the bed. And if all else fails, I can take the planking back off to build a tank from above.

And CO is a bit farther/more expensive to get to. My sister just spent the weekend in Telluride.

Fred taped some tress around here but I don't think much is flowing, too cold.

Are you gonna plunge cut some holes for the extra lights with the Stihl?

If you need more used motor oil I've got 15 gallons that I'm calling 'no good' for burning in the diesels. I found some antifreeze in one bucket  Don't know which vehicle that came out of:doh:.

Yeah it's got to be below freezing at night and above freezing during the day for the sap to run. We've been sugaring like crazy lately.

I'll use a hole saw for the turn signals. I didn't have a 4.5" hole saw for the tail lights, but I think there's a 3" one lying around I can use for the turns.

Thanks for the oil in advance. I was worried I'd have to wait until my next oil change to get something on the wood. :bang::wrench:

Got the bed all decked out. Not sanded or oiled yet, but on the truck. My old camera broke, and my new one takes pictures that are too big to post. I'll post photos tomorrow when I can figure out how to reduce file size.:crybaby:

Pic of the bed:D I'm going to trim that post/beam on the right of the bed to match the one on the left. It'll stick out a little, but not too far. I was going to leave the trim boards long like that to have something to grab/ tie/ bolt to.

As for the wheels, they need paint. What color should I go with? To "murder out" completely or go with a tan or white again? I just don't know.:meh:

Murdering out is "on going." I think it would look nice factory. I think they were all tan/off white despite the color of the rest of the vehicle:meh:? The great thing about paint is you can keep changing it. If you make them look too good, you'll make the rest of the truck look bad.

I see you also painted the frame and shackle. Looks nice. You might want to throw some oil on the bed before you bring it up here. It's gonna have snow on as soon as you cross over into WV.

More like make the rest of the rest of the truck look badass!:flipoff2: I've chosen an "almond satin" color for the wheels as per recommended by the girl at Ace Hardware. Gonna get some tires as soon as the paint dries.

Got the wheels painted and the spacers came in today too. I bet y'all have never seen spacers used to put smaller tires on a vehicle:eek:. Oh well, gotta do what you gotta do. When I'm not working on the Toysuzu, there's always sap to boil:D. Trying in the old school way today burning free wood instead of expensive propane:flipoff2:. And with as warm as it is today, there's more sap to collect from the trees again!

I got tires today! It drives so much better than before. :steer::clap: Turned some heads in the process too. Loves it. I went with the Hercules Terra Trac A/T. Not the old school look I was really hoping for, but a good tire and not bad looking either.
