There is an 85 4runner for sale in my town-yes, the "holy grail". It looks pretty good (even though it's in Michigan!) I'm thinking of "flipping" it if Ican get it for the right price. What should I expect for prices? I have looked for similar vehicles on yotatech and pirate, and the prices range from 500 to 8000. All the pieces are there, but I haven't talked to the owner yet, so I don't know about any issues. Plus, what is the demand for these?
Thanks

Located in northern michigan.
I'll know more about it tomorrow when I go talk to the seller.

I've seen some of the "freebies" in this and other forums, this isn't one of them (no offense). It's a good solid truck. Who knows, I may sell the 80 and keep this!

I always hate to see things flipped. Typically it is because the seller ends up getting a bum rep.

Best you can do is to find local prices and just match those if it is a true steal of a deal. You won't have much luck flipping south due to everything south of you being exposed to less and less road salt.

Now if you truly are sitting on an immaculate 85 runner, then your looking at big bucks anywhere you go. Pictures would go a long way to helping your assessment.

Oh and I too am thinking of selling the 80 to drive a 4runner.

I agree on the flip...

If it's in pretty good shape, I'd say get some pics, and ask a bit of a finder's fee from a buyer, passing on the good fortune of finding a great truck at a great price...

If selling cars was your business, this'd be a different story. I'd say store up some good karma by helping someone get a great deal and maybe get a few bucks out of the deal...
