85 4runner seat swap help please

OK, my seats in my 85 4runner SUCK !!!! They have seen over 210K mles of road and have exceeded their life I guess. I been searching on the web for seat swap / mods but only seem to find ones for the 2nd gen seats in the first gen 4runners. Well thats NOT gonna happen here, I cant find anything toyota within 400 miles of me. I do have several U-pull it yards close by and they might have 2 yotas total. Now ....... what they do have is a butt load of honda's, mazda's, isuzu's, acura's , can I mod some of these easily? I have a welder, chop saw, grinders and so on but is there some that will go in fairly easy that are similar to the 4runner seats? Thanks in advance for any help.

I modded both a set of Subaru seats and a set of Recaro seats from a VW GTI into my '85 pickup. Neither were that difficult. Just bent up a piece of flat bar stock for either side and drilled holes to fasten it to the holes in the floor at the back and the horizontal holes in the front. Then cut the brackets off of the donor seats and welded my bars to the bottom of the seat frame.

My son's 1st gen 4Runner had Honda Prelude seats in it, very comfortable.

Do you know what year he got them from and how hard they were to put in?

No, sorry, they were in when he bought it. They just used flat stock, I don't think it was too hard.
