So in July 4th my 5.3L converted truck died on the way to an off road park. It was fuel related, at first I thought it was clogged fuel filter, and it was, found a piece of latex glove about the size of a quarter, put on a new filter and truck would run for about a minute then die, fuel pressure kept dropping and then come up again, replaced inline fuel pump, same thing…. Today I dropped the tank and found another larger piece of latex glove clogging the supply line, blew it out with pressurized N2. The strainer had a crack which allowed the piece of glove to go through…
I searched but couldn’t find a part number for the strainer, are these still available? If so, part number? Or is the an aftermarket strainer that will work?
