Curious if anyone has insight here....I removed the upper gear housing to service bearings and it had some side to side play. Reviewing some photos I see some lids have a washer and some don't. My upper had not been serviced and retained original peening for shaft. This is in reference to the later gear (50mm not the 43mm where a spacer is involved).
Does anyone have insight regarding the number or thickness of washers on one or both sides of upper gear? I've seen some comments where they do and others where there are none....I have no issue shimming accordingly, just curious what the consensus has been historically.
Photo below points where I am curious on washers/shims. Since this is a gigglepin photo, they include 1 washer for the right side (pictured), but it seems like nothing for the left.
