8274 Goes out but not in

My Warn winch will go out, but I can't seem to get it to go in. Think it might be the remote, but not sure. anyone else experience this? What's a good way to check rather than buying another remote?

Same thing happened on a fire truck I used to drive. It was a relay that had failed. Simple fix. Maybe you'll be that lucky.

One idea. Isolate which wire is drawing power on wind-out, which one needs the power to wind in, and manually swap them inside the control cover. IIRC I had this problem once about 10 years ago, ran this test and, in the process of pulling the wires to swap them, cleaned off the corrosion and never had the problem again!

had the same thing. I opened up all of the relays and cleaned the contacts.
