Selling my 81 US spec FJ40 with factory PS and A/C. It runs strong and drives straight.

**I am not interested in trades or lower offers.**

*Lets start with the the bad:

It lived in TX and MT for 25 yrs before moving to MO, so it does have some rust. I have recent estimates from a few body shops. Rear sill, quarter panels, corner channels and passenger floor pan needs replacement. The rest of the body is solid! A/C has a blown fuse and out of gas. Odometer is missing and 143k (in 1997) is the last odometer reading. Front seats have tears.

*Now all the good details that made me fall in love:
I have owned it for almost 10 years and I am the third owner.
It came with maintenance records and even the original Bill of Sale.
Original tool kit and tool bag.
Original owners manual
Original floor covering
Factory power steering, air conditioner and disk breaks.
3:70 gear ratio and powerful 2F engine. Highway driving is a pleasure for this year.
I also purchased a bikini top, a tiger top and bows a few years ago.
It does have an after market sunroof and radio (Note for the purists).

Do you mind sharing the estimates from the body shops? Never owned one - looking to - so don't have a clue as to what it costs to address rust issues. Thanks.

$3,500 is the lowest estimate received... $1250 in parts and 40 hrs X $55/hr.
Average was $4,250 but I would say keep $5k on the side to be safe unless you plan to do the work yourself.
