80 series water to air intercooler

Hello everyone,

With all of the New Magnuson superchargers getting added to our beloved 80s throughout the US and the lack of support for performance upgrades I decided to make my own water to air intercooler for the 1fz-fe M90 style supercharger.

3D scanned / custom made to fit perfectly in the space and over built to handle more HP than what the engine will pump out with the M90 setup.

The W2A intercooler is a direct fit and bolted to the air intake manifold for better stability.

The Magnuson W2A kit for the Camaros was used and modified to fit my application with the medium size front radiator option.

So far the results are just day and night from running the m90 with a 3” pulley and no intercooler reaching 130 to 145 degrees on normal drives around Los Angeles to running about a consistent 35 to 40 degrees on the same drive after installing the intercooler.

Now I can upgrade to a 2.8” pulley and have no issues with high IAT’s even on 100 degrees weather

This is the 1st one to come out from our collaboration, not an item that he offered.

This is a nice kit for SC. That TIG welding is muy smexy. The width may work for the turbo engines but the inlet and outlet offset needs to happen.

Yeah it would have to be re-designed to for the turbo setup. I believe TXcruisers is building one W2A for the turbo kits. Check it out on facebook- 1fz turbo page

Are you planning on building a kit? This is great progress forward! I would imagine you would sell quite a few more if it was a complete kit with instructions. The end user always wants an easy install especially for that kind of money. Just my opinion, keep the good work coming.

We have sold a few intercoolers by the selves, and the rest of the components just come straight from Magnuson Superchargers so I don’t feel like just up charging for a set up that someone can just buy directly from the supplier.
