Got replacement window switches. Installed them but for some reason only the master works now.

The 3 x individual switches are not opening their respective windows even though the master can. I have checked when pushing the master switch and opening a window, if you push the individual switch as well the window stops, so it is picking up.

Checked fuses as well. Any advice, maybe a relay issue somewhere?

is the lockout switch pushed in? I know it seems silly to ask. Also, have you tried reinstalling an old switch in one of the other doors and checking to see if it works?

Yes I have tried the lock out switch on various configurations, it also does not want to work with any old switch installed now.

Makes me think something tripped or blew somewehre but dont know what, strange thing is there must be a connection since if I push the master and then the individual the window stops moving.

The fact that the window stops when you hit both switches hints at faulty replacement switches, the door switch should then bypass the master.

That kinda rules out faulty switches though, unless they were faulty as well. Why did you replace them all?

All window switches are powered by the same fuse, problem isn't that if the master is working.

OEM switches or aftermarket? Plugged in backwards? Shouldn't be possible, should be a tab to stop that.

All are aftermarket switches. Replaced all just because they look new.

I also found that the masters main switch works in reverse, up is down and down is up.

Strange thing is when I now go back to original config with all old switches and master it seems like nothing is working, thus my thought that something blew somewhere. The top left blue fuse at drivers seat was blown, I replaced this but still the same.

I got the exact master switch in the advert.

Fiddled around again tonight, put back all the old switches and still only the master working.

Makes me think its either a ground issue, setup or reset or a relay somewhere.

Any advice as to where I can look, where are all the window relays situated.

Go through the photos, it shows two types. Did the replacement switch match exactly what the original switch looked like? Something is playing up if the switches are working backwards & didn't before. Might need to remove door cards and interior trim and start checking all ground points and look for any busted wires anywhere.

Attached some pages from the service manual re. window wiring. Check the resources tab at the top of this page to access service manuals, you may need more posts on the forum first though.

The second attachment is a single page diagram, a bit easier to follow but all in B&W.

The second PDF shows the pin #s for LHD & RHD being totally different which could definitely cause some dramas, but I don't see how you could install the wrong master into the armrest.

No window relays, just the power main relay. Located behind drivers side kick panel, see first photo in this thread.
