This e-mail came in via the CLC website from a local 80 owner. It should probably go under 80 series tech, but, since it was a new user, I figured I'd start a new thread:

Hey there,

I’ve got an FJ80 with a problem. Graves and Stoddard said it was the mass airflow sensor and as they “fixed” it they broke other parts of the air intake system which then needed to be replaced. $600 later, it is still messing up. Until the temperature gauge reaches about halfway on the gauge the engine won’t throttle up (hot or cold outside, had the problem a while), unless you put the gas all the way down. I’ve also lost some power it seems like. Can’t really say when that happened. Maybe a computer or throttle control problem? I don’t know what it is and don’t know where to go to get it worked on other than taking it to Urban Cruisers in Atlanta. If you guys have any suggestions that would make my day. I’m mechanically minded, but am fairly ignorant on cars; so I can do simple work if that’ll fix it. Thanks for your time.

I'm going to reply to Tuan and send the link to this thread. Maybe we can help him out.

Tuan goes to my church and works full time at 1st Presbyterian's camp, twin lakes. He has 4 kids and uses the 80 for hauling duty along with his wife's van. Surely this is an issue our 80 guys can help with. Thanks JT.

If Chris can't fix it he will get them to the front of the line at Integrity.

Shush, send em to Chris

Integrity is good. Think they are shutdown till next week.

That is where it needs to go.

They worked on Nate's truck that was having issues. It took them a week or so but they figured it out.

Told him about integrity and if they are booked to see you Chris.

Hey there guys. I appreciate the input and will be getting in touch with integrity soon. My wife hit a deer (just the Sienna got hurt) tonight so the 80 is the primary for a while. Chris put my tires on and he is the one who told me about Cottonland. Thanks again.
