You could not ask for a better rig to restore if you so choose....

Can you also shoot me a pic of the under hood decals, as I am unsure of what is correct for a 79.

Shane

I'll try to get those tomorrow.
As far as I can tell it is 100% original under the hood.......'cept for the dealer added York compressor....I did notice a big "Toyota" on some of the ducting on the AC inside, course it may just be to note what it fits, not OEM.

It looks like mine under the hood. My York is going for an OBA setup--Soon I hope. Drive it up to the razorback ramble next june! ty

A 'few dings'? you oughta see mine!

Got it on the lift and it was for sure blue and white the rockers are still blue on the bottoms, no rust found other than surface.
Took the rear winch off, and while I was doing it a customer came inasked about it..... priced it for $300 and he paid me in hunnerds.......half the cost of a set of tires for her....

On a '55 you have to go "old school hubcaps" if you are thinking of anything close to a resto!

need any interior grills for the cargo vents? i've still got a few pairs left

WTF are cargo vents?

member I'm a pig novice.....

no prob there...we'll get you edjumacated on the coolest side o' life:D

somewhere around 73, vents from the outside of the quarter panels to the interior appeared. piggies of such vintage are easy to spot by the external grill at the rear marker light (see below).

there are little rubber ducts to the interior cargo panels, and grills that are brittle and snap at the thought of someone touching them. i had a bunch of these grills reproduced last year as the pig kingdom needs much help from its guardians:steer:https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-classifieds-corner/225017-reproduction-interior-cargo-vent-grills.html

btw, now we need a pic of you and the mrs. cruisin' in your fine swine:cheers:
