I am ditching my Webber and trying to get my Aisin carb going on my 79. I am missing the bracket that goes on the firewall and the rod that goes to the pedal.
Pictured is what I have bolted up so far.

I think I need everything pictured except the pedals and associated parts on them.
I will PM you.

the first pic is of 60 series linkage, it has a ball on the firewall end, and the carb end.
later 40 linkage had a ball on the carb end but still had the rod on the firewall end.
the pic Dan posted of the parts is what is needed, the carb plate piece has the hole where the end with hair pin goes thru, the firewall bracket just needs a new rubber grommet where the horizontal rod goes into and rotates.

You are exactly right. I have a box of linkage and the 60 series ones are close to working right if you could make something work on the firewall.
I have the correct piece in my pile that goes in that place.
