Into body work mode. Man these trucks need a ton of body work.

Continued sanding off the po primer job to see what kind of sins are hidden underneath.

Quite wavy. Skim coat and block sanding should fix this panel.

This panel needs some grinding and cleanup at the spot welds.

This is the on patch on the truck. In the rear the patch metal is pulled away from the body. Going to try and flatten it out in the back and seam seal it.

Bottom of front cowling was shot and have some nasty filler jobs done on it. Bought a new bottom to weld on. Had to take a break from working the truck to repipe my compressor and filters so my sandblasting pot stops clogging.
 
@fj40fillet care to share some pictures of your rig now that you’ve gone through the bodywork? I also have a 79 that is originally 031 that’s been crudely spray painted over. When the time comes I’ll have to decide if I’m going to stick with the white or not. Based on your profile pictures it looks like you did great work! Thanks.
