Do you have too many toys?
Have you been thinking about selling but haven't posted it yet?
Maybe you just finished a project and you're ready to move onto something new?
Did you buy one for your wife and she's just not that into it?
I'm shopping for my first FJ and I'm having a hard time finding what I'm looking for from a seller I can trust.
Budget: $10,000-$20,000
Stock, little to no mods done.
I'm sorry to say my skills are limited so I'm looking for one that has already had most of the work done to it (and done well, I hope).
It doesn't have to be perfect showroom quality, but rustfree and 80-90% restored would be great.

Let me know if have one you'd like to sell!

I have a very original 79 FJ40 that I would consider selling. It is in excellent shape. 60K miles. Engine completely rebuilt, clutch replaced, and much much more. Mechanical work done by "Poser".

The picture with my sign in name is the FJ. It will cost at least $30-32K. If you are interested I will send you details and more pictures. I have one to many vehicles and want to start another rebuild of a mid year vette.

Regards, Rick

I soooo wish I could, but the budget won't quite allow for that much. My husband and I are getting out of the Rover world (except for my DD, my LR3) and into the Cruiser world and we each want one, so we're trying to hold back from spending too much on the first. We also fancy the FJ45 trucks, so if we ever hope to find one of those, we'll definitely have to save our pennies.
Thanks anyway!

77fj40

I have a 77 fj40 that i may be interested in selling. It has a fiberglass tub and aluminum front fenders. The suspension is pretty much stock except for the shackle reversal. I am looking for somewhere around 13,000 for it. Let me know if your interested ill snap some pictures for you if so.

Thanks
Dan

I have a 1980 rusted out in pieces and not even sure if it will run, but if you are willing to pay me 10,000 for it, its yours.

Have you looked on CL, they come up all the time in your price range and what you are looking for. This is a nice tool to search for them within XX miles of your house. I use it to search up to 800 miles from my house just to see what people are asking, it will also find the ones on ebay at the same time.

Oh yeah let me know if you are crazy enough to pay 10,000 for my 1980 that is probably only worth 1,000 if I am lucky.

Thanks for all the help everyone, I've found one and a deal is in the works. It needs a little tinkering of course but the body and frame look perfect. I've already lost significant hours of my life and expect to loose more using the search function on this site for how-to advice. I'll post pics as soon as the deal is finalized and it's in my driveway.

Again, thanks to everyone who responded!
