'72 parts 55 for sale

alright, I have a '72 FJ55 that i would like to sell whole as a rolling rig, it does however need to get out of my yard so i'll leave it up for a week or so whole before parting it out piece by piece....truck is located in Mill Bay, Vancouver Island, Canada

start with the bad:
-no engine, trans or x-case
-no steering
-truck was supposed to get a V8 before i got it so for whatever reason the very solid looking frame is without crossmembers
-there is rust but nothing un-fixable
-no papers
-something fell on the roof so it has a bow in it but is still alright
-rear doors dont open. front pass does and drivers does a little bit but its binding on the fender and i dont want to force it open. i havnt had time to really try to get them all opening though

the good
-body is pretty straight and complete
-has all glass in good condition except the windshield
-very little rust that i can see for a rig from the rust belt, some bubles here and there and a few holes but nothing that couldnt be fixed
-frame looks very solid, no holes in it that i have seen (though without cross members as mentioned above)

Im looking to get $1000 obo for this truck any offers or trades/partial trades considered. Im looking for spring over stuff for my 40, a winch (8274), saginaw PS stuff, 35-37" aggresive tires other trades considered also. the pictures!

also i guess i should mention that im not a 55 guy, more into 4x cruisers which is why im getting rid of the truck, its just not really my kind of cruiser and as cool as it is i dont have the time for yet another project

Front fenders,dash pad and dash parts,wipers and linkage...
I could come over on a weekend to remove the parts.

That dash won't fit on a 74 or 76, 55 if thats what you want it for. nice dash.

im not going to part it out yet....i'll wait a week or so before i decide to part it or not. also depends on what people want for parts....are original seats a desirable item? doors, tailgate and hood easy to sell?

ken:im not going to be wheeling on saterday because of a hockey game and ...if your still thinking of the body you can come take a look at it anytime, you know where im at and there should be someone home sunday

hellbent40: sorry but i have been eyeing up the rear springs for my 40 for a long time now, if i part the truck out im going to keep the springs for my own selfish desires for when i spring over my 40.

well, I'd probably like the rolling chassis, but not any body parts. if that helps any.

If you end up parting it out, I would like the hand throttle(knob under the speedo), bracket and gas pedal. Also the black plastic knobs off the heater controls(vent/defrost)

parts it is guys.oldfj40 is comming over to pick up fenders and maybe a few other things. frame, rear springs (maybe fronts as well) and axles are all spoken for...i will start going through things and have a price list up soon, would prefer not to split things up i.e. I dont want to sell just the window regulator or just the knob and have the rest of the pull sitting in my garage...

Looking forward to the trip over.I'd like to add the sun visors to the list if they are still available and in decent shape.
Anyone here know if the wiper linkage from this rig is the same as a '74?

alright so PM's sent to everybody who had enquired about parts i think...some of the other parts i will have for sale are

hood- in good shape with one small rust spot by the latch $100
doors- appear to be in good shape with all complete with the regulators and glass $200 for the set of 4
tailgate-no handle on it but otherwise appears to be in good shape, will have to pull off the truck to get a better look at the bottom. still has glass in it as well as the metal cover for the inside $125 ($300 if you take all the doors and the tailgate)
tail light lenses- both of the rear square ones are in good shape, no cracks $50
all the glass is in good and will sell lemme know if anybody wants the glass
bumpers- front has cracked a bit from the top plate but i can weld it up for anybody interested in no time and have it good to go $150 for front and rear
side view mirrors- drivers side is good but the passenger side has the arm but is missing the mirror $35

will consider offers on parts, not all parts are listed so if you need any parts i might have them and can check on the rig. these parts are all on Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada
