71' FJ40

So I am new to this... My wife picked up a 71' FJF40 for me from some guy out in the boonies. The truck runs great, however the tire are on their last legs. My question is I would like to put some wide tires on and am not sure what would work. This is a stock truck, no special lift or anything. I believe the rims are 15's. Any input would be appreciated.

I believe 31x10.5 will fit without a problem if the suspension isn't sagging. 33x10.5 will rub on a 70 from what I've read so probably same for a 40. You may have better luck in the 40 series section.
