71 Donor Chassis Not Sure What to do.

I'm in the process of doing a factory resto on my 71 FJ55. I bought a second 71 to use for parts. I got all the parts off the donor I need but now I'm thinking about using the donor for a desert car. Something I can tool around the Superstitions (I'm in So Cal) in. It would need seats, some work on the front end, engine, tranny, transfer case and drive lines and brakes. I'm not sure if it's worth it or what engine or tranny I should even start looking at.

Any opinions or suggestions out there?

I'm sorta in the same boat. Are you sure you need both. It gets expensive.

I've got a 71 parts rig with full mechanicals I won't be using... I just need it for some interior bits and front end sheet metal. It's too rusty to save
