So I'm not very familiar with 70's, but I just looked at one in the Auto Trader and I see it has 3 shifters on the floor. One big one ovbiously for the gears, but then its got 2 little ones side by side. Do they all have that? Whats the third one for??

Its a 85, real nice looking! I can't copy the pic, but its in the Trader.

Sometimes they have a PTO lever but they are on the far left of the transmission hump.

I think the extra lever is a mod so they can choose high/low and 4wd separately.
Normally when you engage low,4wd is selected automatically
The 4H button is probably disconnected or they maybe using a t/case from a manual shifter.
I think there are places where you can buy the shifters already made for a 40 series but Ive never seen them on a 70.
Its something old jeeps and landrovers had as standard.

Are you looking at the black 85 cdn spec for $14K? If so, it only has two shift levers (tranny and t-case) - I think what you're seeing is the clutch pedal to the left of the gear shifter.

Lol, yeah thats trippy....with that key on the red string in the middle of the bases, the clutch looks like its the top of the left stick, and the long gear shift looks like it disapears into the floor.

Thanks for clearing that up for me
