70 series AC compatability

Does anyone know compatability issues of putting a new 79 series AC system on a 1985 75 series truck?

According to the industrial shop at ENS the heater systems are entirely different from the metal dash to plastic style. I have a 2011 a/c system here (under the plastic dash) and the fitting are all new style R134a and I don't think they can be adapted to R12. The firewall protrusion is far different from the standard double tube hook up.

It was kind of a long shot at best. Another complication is my truck is RHD and the newer is LHD. Trying to figure out what parts could be traded out to upgrade my AC system.

I think I have a spare '88 evap case in a box. I am in Tucson, AZ if that can make the shipping work.
