Just found this forum and excited to learn and share with this crew.

Retired Navy, after 24 years and recently let go with this latest Oil and Gas cut, which gives me time to work on my FJ.

I have owned a 69, 70, and 73 FJ40s and an FJ55 I wish I would have never let go.

The only one I have left is my 70 FJ and trying to find some seats first and then start looking to replace some rused out pieces.

Thank you for letting me in your forum and any help you have getting me up and driving this beast, would be greatly appreciated. Pictures attached.

Brad

Hey Brad, Welcome to MUD!

I look forward to your build and future posts. I noticed your rig doesn't have a front bezel, when you later install one please yield to the following rule:

Here are some pics. No cuts or tears in the vinyl. I've also got the stock drum brakes (all 4) since I did the 4 wheel disc brake conversion and the stock mechanical fuel pump that I'm no longer using.

Welcome to MUD OldNavy70FJ!
When you get to the wiring part of your project, visit my wiring web site. I carry a lot of the electrical things you might need.

I also have a web site for my 1971 FJ40. It has a lot of step by step pages detailing how to do some basic stuff like sheet metal replacement and mechanical things like brakes ...

Your rig looks to be pretty straight, just needs some TLC!

They look great, what are you asking for the seats and I put an aftermarket fuel pump but may be interested in yours.
