Good quality custom stuff like Hanna products are double a ARB, quality and finished are second to none tho.

Ok Wayne...since you and I are friends I can say this...You're fawking NUTS on this ARB bumper thing :flipoff2: . First of all they're nowhere near $1,500...even in Canada...especially with the exchange rate where it is. Most retailers are selling them for 700 USD, so that's more like 850 Cdn.

Brett...

Unless you are on the west coast of Canada. ARB is working through one distributor for all of Western Canada. Some older dealers are grandfathered, but all new retailers who want to sell ARB have to buy from this Western Canada warehouse...

This means local pricing for ARB bullbars is in the neighbourhood of $1200.00 Cdn, or more, in this neck of the woods...no matter who you go to. Then add shipping and taxes. Springs are up there too.

Greg, first of all your answering a 2 year old post LOL

I got a 60 ARB from my local Yota dealer, they bought from the western warehouse. I was 1200 delivered to Smithers.... I thought that was pretty good prices. No shipping charges.

I like the look of the arb and have seen plenty of crashes on here showing how they survived in a head on.

I think they look great on a 70 series. GB I think you will be very happy if you buy one.

I like mine. but if I were doing it again NOW I would likely have someone build me something.
I really like Lowenbrau's bumper (in fact, 750 years ago when it was being made, I tried to talk each person that had a hand in building it - and there were several - to make me another just like it).
I like Greg_B's as well - better approach angle and most likely lighter as well.

Still, the ARB is available, bolt on, functional, and I think it looks good.

Yes, and the arrangement in Western Canada is about that old...if not a little longer. Hence the relevance, as that pricing arrangement is still current.

Petra does have an ARB on her HJ61, and as Norm points out I have a custom one on both the BJ74 and BJ6(1). Yes, the ARB do look nice, and on the whole are thought out.

Whoa ,this is an old thread:D

I think the ARB winch bar for a 70 is about $1050 AUD here from ARB which is $970CAN .

I think Wayne said he built it If I remember correctly.

I've had an ARB on my 70/74 for about 6 years now and I have no complaints. It's an awesome, rugged bumper. I've yanked the crap out of it on numerous occasions and bashed many things i.e. trees, rocks, other stationary items, and never had a problem. I have beat the tar out of all of my trucks and the ARB is the one piece of equiptment I still have from my original truck (the bumper is on it's 3rd truck now). The only issue I've had is the holes where you hook the clevice up to started to oval from excessive yanking. Simple solution, just welded a couple of re-inforcement bars on them and they've been good ever since. Worth the $$$ IMO, and they are the best looking bumper out there, if that matters.

Check National 4x4 in Calgary as well. I heard from a buddy that they had better prices then Modern for ARB stuff.

thanks fellow mudders, for the info...

has anyone fitted a aisin AS-1000 24v winch to a arb 70s winch bumper, how did it work out?

cheers & thanks

Joe70 - would love to see a pic of your 74 showing the winch and bumper, as the 8274 is simalar to my winch.

I'll post up some pics in the next couple of days when I get my Swampers on.
