Hey everyone, been a long time since my last post. Anyhow, I can honestly say my IP knowledge has grown by miles. That said, I just found out (realized) that the heat is always on unless I turn off the manual valve under the hood in my '69. I had thought that it was all controlled on the dash and it did strike me that the front would feel like the face of the sun in the middle of summer no matter what I did with the fresh air control, heat/defrost, etc.

So a week ago I noticed a leak under the seat coming from the rear heater. I cleaned it up and then a few days later it was there again. I started to google it and found out about the valve. I am now in the process of freeing up the partially rusted valve turn under the hood to stop the flow to the heater, but that doesn't change the fact that I have a problem with the rear heater. Does anyone have an idea what's wrong? I am thinking I need to pull out the heater and clean and possibly replace.

Let me know folks, really appreciate it!

You have a heater core in the rear heater, that might be leaking or the hose connections. Here's some pictures of mine, before and after. Wouldn't hurt to clean the motor up, too.
