wow you picked up a hell of a lot of info in your high school class!!

Some tips..

beware the original fuel tank. they typically rust out, and at the MINIMUM should be taken to a radiator shop and powersprayed cleaned out. I had my carb rebuilt FIVE times before i did that! Yeah. That sounds like it sucks, mostly because IT DOES SUCK!!

The minitruck PS conversion is pretty cheap. I used it for 10 years, and recently swapped to saginaw. I prefer the saginaw. fewer moving parts gives me less slop in the steering. Downside is it is more pricey.

where in AZ are you? Sedona? Sierra Vista? that sure as shyte isnt phoenix or tucson.

oh and with the tank was about the only thing i didnt sand blast... i was able to eliminate all rust with a wire wheel there was minor pocketing but after i ran a three rince cycle with the inside then painted i feel with a lil luck it just might work haha:steer:

no no i mean on the INSIDE it's rusty. a LITTLE flake will screw things up quite nicely in your newly rebuilt carb. Did i mention rebuilding carbs 5 times by reputable people and shops sucks?

nice job, you are putting a hell of a lot of sweat into the rig instead of money, I really like the tail light mod, I might have to steal that idea. Oh and peiserg, he said he did a three rinse cycle on the inside of the fuel tank, so hopefully he wont need to worry about rust getting in his carb, me myself I just run three fuel filters.....just kidding, I should cause I keep getting rust in my carb...ha

ha. laugh (if you must!) but i DO run two filters, after all the frustrations of the carb. It helped, but not much.. i guess if the FIRST filter isn't catching the particles because they are too small, the SECOND filter isn't going to catch them either.

I distinctly recall the mechanic, 2 weeks after a rebuild... telling me i need another one... me questioning his expertise, and he in turn turning the carb on it's side, and knocking out sediment from the tank right in front of me! doh!

thanks guys

the tips are totally needed and appreciated is there a good way to check the inside of the tank just to make sure? when i ran some solvent with a lil gas even the first time after letting sit and shaking the tank all around i pored it into a bucket first to check and looked clean is there a better way?

thanks matt

ya im pleased with the tail lights i just know ill fab a new bumper at some point but for now was worth doin for the price... i did have 2 trimm a lil bigger hole with the origanal brackets im sure you could figure it out but let me know if u need more pix or info:cheers:

I'M BACK! and with a little luck I will finish the cruiser up this time once and for all! I'm excited motivated and saved up a lil cash for the parts I need! I just spent the last 2 weeks un burying the cruiser in what they call a garage but looked more like a dump! Lol first I had to store some stuff somewhere so I installed a attic ladder

I'm so excited to get back into the cruiser and the fact I can walk around in there, know where everything is given it's all organized now!
Sooo back to the wiring where I left off I picked up the EZ wiring kit and it just doesn't seem to be that easy for me at times it's pretty simple but guess the fact it's just been ripped apart for so long and having nothing but the kit and diagrams to go buy it's taking a while!
Can anyone help me out a bit that has used this 12 circuit EZ wiring kit hope it's a good enough harness and is worth the time!? If so please send pix pointers or let me know if you completed it so I can pick your brain ask some questions good to be back and thanks for your help cheers!
