Hello we have a 71 FJ55 and I just purchased and rebuilt a carb from a 69
The carburetor that came with the truck was a eBay cheap carb and the vehicle was able to run and drive, but obviously wanting to go with original as it didn’t run and drive good and who knows what issues the carburetor had
I found this carburetor and disassembled dipped the entire carburetor and rebuilt everything with new gaskets jets power valves, etc.
I know normally the intake tube on the spacer points up, but obviously the carburetor would not fits
The only way I could get this carburetor to attach was turning the spacer in this direction, which I know is not correct. You can see the red arrow. The mechanism has no movement at all as it hits the intake tube.
Trying to figure out what the option from here would be
