65/40 Horn bushing help (1 Viewer)

I ran out of used rubber horn contact bushings and just bought one from SOR. It seems to be much larger in diameter and thicker. I can’t compress the contact plates to make a connection.
Before I start trimming this rubber piece, I would like to have someone measure a factory horn spacer.

I just trimmed mine to fit (the outer diameter). The early years are NLA.

Bingo! Horn works great now. Snipped 1/4” from the outside of the spacer.

So a rubber washer that‘s 2” in diameter with an 1-3/4” hole and 1/8” thick should work?

Nope, just the opposite. I trimmed down the outer 1/4” of their bushing.
It is possible a 1/16” thick x 3/4” center hole x 1 3/8 outer diameter rubber could work.
