If he's got rectangular bottom doors you should be fine. But then either his truck isn't a '63 FST or it was a hardtop that's been doctored. Post up some pics when you can. :hhmm:

He sent me some pics of when he first looked at it. the guy had all the other parts at his house (tail gate, bows, lights, odds and ends) .He was origanall asking 2500. but after siting for months my uncle got it for 700. and drove it home.PO rattle canned it.Guess it was a converted hard top.

I'd say he got a good deal. Just something that I noted:
1) Most 63's had a "landcruiser" embossed bezel. They tend to disappear.
2) There are no holes in the back for barn doors or a drop-down tailgate.
3) the holes in the panels above the fenders are early 70's specific so those have probably been replaced.
4) the VIN # on the right front framehorn should match the VIN tag in the engine compartment either on the firewall or on the fender
5)Windshield glass can be custom cut at a good glass shop, OEM might be impossible to get.
6)If the rear differential is centered the it is an FJ25 carry-over..

Looks cool.

You can still get the glass at your local Toyota...paid mine around $80, and I got new rubber seals at the same time

Nice price...any engine pics?

Sorry, thats all the pics he sent me. I talked to him and he took it to the local high school (trade school body shop) and theyre going to strip it and repaint it and do all the body work for him and all he has to pay is for supplies. Plus it gives the students experince . He did one like that before and they did a good job.

Really?

I checked for a '75 windshield and it was $135, the 74 and earlier was about $400 and I thought the windshield with the vent on the bottom was a different size? $80 just seems too good to be true. My closest dealer said they didn't deal with glass, period so had to check with the next closest one-weird.

We were all surprised when it showed up...including the local Toyota parts guys...who actually know some Cruiser stuff :)

$700 was good price may have something to do with chevy rims. That's pre 64. The 64s had a latch handle to hold the windshield up. Last time I checked the windshield glass was still available for the early windshield. At some point the high B pillar has been cut off the tub. The windshield area is going to be the hardest part to get to fit right. A 64 early 65 top would fit the best unless you weld the high pillar back on.

Looks like there is no reason to trade bows. Like it has been said the bows should work on yours. You will still need to get the piece for over the windshield. On the 63 that piece would have been welded on. On yours it was a bolt on piece.
