Ashley Sapaugh has a red 86 for sale. Used to be Clutchee's before the divorce ;)
Can't vouch for it now. Used to be a great rig.

No on either...but thanks for checking on me.

You want a truck that is as far from your requirements that you have always had.....just saying.

Awesome.... I can sleep now

I buy and sell vehicles all the time as my requirements change.....

Or its just fun to test drive..... For 8 months and sell....

Anyone see a passenger side sun visor for a 60 like this let me know

Found a visor.

Pulled the air filter.

The inside of my filter area was dirty as hell as would be expected of 100 miles of dust.

What was new was the large amount of motor oil in the breather. It's coming up out of the valve cover.

Is there any kind of filter or drip can I can rig between the valve cover and the breather?

BTW used one quart yesterday. 225 miles.

I don't recall anyway oil could travel to the air cleaner from the valve cover except the hose by #6

Must be blow back pushing oil up there. That hose acts as dryer vent of some sort to allow clean air into the VC.

I think your days are numbered. Rebuild it once and love it longer than you will keep it

Your low compression on #6 is beginning to haunt you. The compression is escaping into the crankcase building excessive pressure and overwhelming your PCV system. Sorry buddy

OM 617 5 cylinder turbo diesel time - possibly the most reliable engine ever produced Think 4x4 Labs did some parts for a conversion kit. The guys at www.torfab.com in WA were i got a big box of 80 parts told me they do diesel conversions; perhaps being closer to Canada they have an underground RR line of parts...

I am going to drive this thing until it won't run or it tosses a rod. I am thinking (correct me if i am wrong) that if I keep oil in it and drive it, I will not get stranded somewhere without knowing it is coming.

I have all new "accessories" on this motor so I am going back with a 2F when this one dies. No diesel (I hate diesels) and no V8's unless I have to.

Drive. Add oil. Drive.

@dnp says it sounds like its on 5 cyl to him already........

DNP is basically right. Should not leave you stranded
