Name of rig; Elsie (LC)
205k
I have had it awhile so improved most everything on it. OEM medium lift 3" with Dobinsons IMS shocks, 4plus front and rear bumpers with hitch, white knuckle rock sliders, Warn VR EVO 10s winch, Gamiviti roof rack, Toyota 17" steelies running 255/80R17, Torfab LED headlights. Almost every engine part replaced on the original engine, transmission rebuilt, transfer case as well etc, etc.
Was a daily driver for 3 years now a weekend warrior

One of my favorite 62's on the Gram. What winch cover are you using?

I have El Jefe off Amazon. It works for the most part. Even in PNW rain but not entirely. It is still damp underneath but not wet. Any suggestions?

Lovely rig, is the extended roof height an option ? or did it come in FJ62?
In Aus these high roof options are called a Sahara. It’s a 1985 GX Sahara to be exact. Over here, these all had some exclusive trim options like the power windows, rear aircon, rear heater, 3rd row seats. No power mirrors like Japan got sadly.

Love the look and I am sure the extra space would be awesome for a Molly top panel for all the bits and piece's.
Awesome :D

New to fj60. Built a gx470 and loved it. I have a 1984' body, frame from 1987, restored almost fully with h55 trans (just rebuilt), 2f fuel injected with factory snorkel (2f newly rebuilt), 4.10 gearing with ARB front and rear air lockers, Warn winch, ARB sliders/front bumper/rear bumper, ARB air compressor with air horn and on board air tool connection, ARB roof rack with pull out canopy, warn locking hubs, ARB spotlights front and rear with ARB light bar (makes the night look like a white out controlled detonation of a large enemy weapons cache). Just installed a 200amp stock housing alternator. She has dual red top optima batteries to power everything. Rides on OME suspension and Mickey Thompson Legen MTZ's. To be honest I got the truck out of nostalgia at first thinking not much else could get around the swamp/sand/mud of South GA/N FL as well as my 2008 GX470 I built. Let me tell ya, the fj60 chugs right along a rough path just as well as the GX does. I love yota's for offloading and commuting. Bought my dad a gx460. I have a hobby working as a mechanic rebuilding manual transmissions and motors mainly in racing application road vehicles but I enjoy overlanding and off-roading more than the 1/4 mile as I get older.
