FJ62 and I made these. They are bombproof and also a bit on the heavy side. The cabinet fits in a 60 series and is tight between the wheel wells. In an 80 series there is about 1 inch on each side of the cabinet if it's centered. The drawers lock on the side of the cabinet with some awesome window cam locks. The two fence locks in the front keep the drawers from opening while on a hill if you forget to close the side locks.
There is a compartment in the rear of the cabinet (toward the front of the truck) that can hold 4 small tool boxes or 2 tool boxes, a rachet set, a huge wood saw, hack saw, massive cresent wrench, 36" cheater bar, tow straps, jumper cables, dizzy cap, extra birf, and a bfh. I think thats it. Anyway.
I designed it so I could get to the stuff I need daily in drawers and the stuff I need rarely in the back compartment. With the cabinet all the way into both series of truck the profile of the cabinet is at the same angle of the back of the seats maximizing storage potential. The front of the drawers will come to about 1' away from touching the tailgate when the tail gate is closed. I had a rubber mat under the box in both trucks but FJ62 has his bolted down to the cargo hook bolts with some heavy duty metal strapping. Very secure in the ultra fast take offs these trucks are capable of. I need for the next person to be aware that in the event of roll over the box will kill you and/or the rear passenger unless bolted down.
Annnnnnnnnndddd a 6 pack fits between the wall of the truck and the cabinet without sloshing around...

edit: the black coloring over the cabinet is a DuPont bed liner type thing. Is was 8 bucks a can and I used 6 cans.
