The window glass comes clean with nothing attached other than the locks, as mentioned in an earlier post the bottom lip looks to have a manufacturing defect or maybe on purpose? Basically lower lip is not straight, it waves in and out from these nipple looking glass points almost like where the liquid glass was poured. Not extremely noticeable but its there on both windows.

So now is time to find the right matching tint. I want to do this before the install so the tint will be fit around the holes etc.

Here is where its tricky, glass on the LC100 for the rears is not plastic tint its the actual glass that has the tint, how can I find a matching plastic film to go over this window? is there part numbers for these? Its the sort of reflecting copper toned glass. I want to get as close as I can to match the rest of the glass. Front glass (drivers/passenger front) are clear glass with a plastic film tint its close but lighter than the rest.

Glad to see they're shipping! I've not received any shipping notice, @ihadmail do you have tracking numbers?

I do not have tracking numbers. I did contact Emu Wing and they indicated that some of the 100 series units hadn't yet shipped but they will be going out within the week. Anyone who hasn't gotten a tracking number, or received their wings, will get a tracking number as soon as they ship.

So after reading some post looks like the closest match for the tint will be the Ceramic Viper bronze 30% now I got to find a local show that has it.

Dumb question here, but do these mount on the inside or the outside of the car? It seems like the inside would be more secure, but would also require a lot of trimming of the headliner.

I did the driver side this weekend. It takes 2 days to do one side although if you knew what you were doing you could do both in 2 days. the glue takes a day to set. and getting the window glued mounted and adjusted isn't the hard part to me. it was all the trimming on the interior panel that took so long. I had to trim about 2-3mm off the panel window area. and then some more to accommodate the hinges and latches.

And note that the labeled hinges (PS and DS) are switched or was for me. (maybe right hand driver)

How do they lock. Is it key from the outside. Can they be opened from the inside in the case I have the third row seats in and sitting still for awhile they could open the back window.

here is the interior panel back in place after trimming. (low light with iphone)

Do I get points for being first? :bounce: HAHA

Anyway its a piece of cake... I would suggest to only take on one window at a time as its pretty much a two day deal.

When I removed the factory weather stripping after taking the glass off there was some dark grey grease or tacky residue left on the edge. its a pain to get off. I used a lot of elbow and mild degreaser with a couple of rags.

I got my LX back from the body shop today, but I have to get my dissent bumper finished and installed before I will have time to install the wings.

@1toy thanks for the install tips.

Installed mine today. Pretty simple job. Was a little concerned that the hinge was going to interfere with my Speski cargo barrier which it does. Easily fixed by remounting it on the other side of the bracket on the passenger side and bending the bracket on the drivers side. I don't think you'd be able to run Emu Wings on both sides in addition to the Speski barrier. There's just not enough room.

Installed mine. I'm dealing with trimming the trim. It appears you need to take some off all around the edge of the window? I started to do this with a dremel but that kind of butchered it. Has anyone tried to use a sander to do this more elegantly?
