I figured I'd take a minute to introduce the truck and myself.

My name is Sam and I'm slowly getting my wheeling comeback in motion.

Here is my 87 4Runner. Bought it for $500 with a blown HG. I rebuilt the motor this summer and am finishing some loose ends up now. Hope to be driving it next week.

This 4Runner on the right is my friend's 87 SR5. We picked it up on Thanksgiving for $500. This pic is of us doing the engine swap in it 2 weeks ago. Fortunately for him he had inherited a 90 2wd from a family friend that served as the donor.

He's going to be wheeling with me.

Nice deal, I snagged mine the same way! It sure is fun turning wrenches outside :D. You've got a nice setup for snow wrenching, I'm jeallous. Oh yeah, welcome :flipoff2:(official friendly mud salute).

Nice find, got mine the same way, just a little rust in the rear fenders. We swapped the engine and installed dual t-case last weekend, hoping to finish the wiring this weekend and have it running.

Thanks. :flipoff2: Looks like I'm gonna fit in here.

I guess I know how these baby boomers feel when they find some muscle car they had in high school. I had an 85 X-cab and my dad had an 86 4Runner when I was in high school. (I'm 31 now.) Just working on this thing is bringing back to good memories of some really stupid ideas. lol

Hurts my bones to look at that ice ... the only place ice belongs in in a scotch ... that being said ... nice find

Knew you might find this link interesting

this will take you to the new diesel / bio / 24volt forum here on MUD

Then I saw the link to the BOMBERS and followed it ... now I have a lot of reading to do.

I also run a 96 RAM 3500 4x4

Thanks and Welcome  :flipoff2: Salute

Sweet. I have a '96 2500 with some mild mods. I've been contemplating diesel power for my yota but I don't know if I'm up for that project yet. I've contemplated a 4bt but I think it'll be too heavy. I got a lot of reading to do about what Toyota made available so thanks for the link.

If you need any help with your Ram or get over to DB be sure to give me a holler.

Im in the $500.00 club but have way more invested now!
