Im new on here and was wondering if somebody could help with my 4x4 problem. i have a 90 4runner sr5 that wont engage in the 4wd. i switched the add to manual warn hubs thought that would do the trick but of course not. lifted the truck in the air and put in drive with the front locked. the front drive shaft is spinning and the hubs are locked to the cv's but no wheel turn. somebody help. i dont think its the fork in the actuator because when its in 4wd and the truck is off, i cant spin the drive shaft. also there is no 4x4 light that appears, when i go to 4 low it goes to the lower gearing like it should.
SOMEBODY HELP I WANNA GO 4WHEELING

No but they are locked to the hub because when its in the air locked when I turn the wheels the cv's turn also. When the hubs are unlocked they don't spin

The CV's are not supposed to turn with the hubs unlocked. If they do not turn (along with the driveshaft) when you put it in gear with the hubs locked, then you probably have something going on in the 3rd member.

Okay thank you. How do I check that?

I'm 99% sure that the light is tripped by the ADD actuator on the front axle, check the 2 vacuum lines that go to the actuator, and follow them up to the engine. If the lines are ok, then you probably have a problem with the vacuum switch that operates the actuator, or the switch on the T-case that tells the vacuum switch to do it's thing... You can use a vacuum pump and operate the actuator manually to see if it's functioning, and since you have manual hubs, you can just leave it locked and disconnect the vacuum lines. (Mine has been like that for 2 years)
