i have a problem with my 4runner:mad: at 1st when i turn'd the key i got a the click click,so i ran a wire from the positive on the battery to the negative on the starter to jump it and at 1st it started for a second then stalled now i cant get it to start ?? it turns over but dont wanna start i have fire so im wondering if anybody else had this problem, could i of blew a fuse or something ??,,any help is appreciated thanks

I just fixed this on mine today. Turns out a cleaning was necessary. Going forward, I will need to replace the wiring. Do they make a relay that can be used instead?

Hmmm Could be, but I've jumped mine like that dozens of times and have never had an issue... In fact I had the same problem, and installed a back up starter switch that goes straight to the starter, and of course since then I have not needed it... which leads me to believe that my issue was the connection at the starter.... (The only part of the stock set up I really changed...)

EFI fuse is in the under-hood fuse panel.

Simple and effective (to a point) theft-prevention mechanism. Keep somebody from driving off with your rig without a little trouble.
