After a chance conversation, an out of the way visit, several weeks of subtle bargaining, receiving the approval of my very patient and understanding wife, tow rig and trailer wiring issues, and a nice day hangin' with my very helpful yet easily distracted 9 year old son we hauled home a 64 LV.
I was kicking myself for not buying one that came up for sale last summer and I stumbled into this one. It has rust in the floors, missing the rear seat and non-original up front but is overall pretty decent. I think it was originally green and maybe grey too?
My boys helped me scrub the black funk off of it and I managed to get it to fire up and sort of drive it. It is missing the brakes and a throttle cable. Has a 155 F motor that fired up on really old gas. Last registered in 99. Just one pic for now.. I promised Cruiserguy a pic if I got it..

It is a very photogenic rig and so it isn't as pretty as it might appear-note the seamless hoods sans ornament ;).

Looking forward to seeing it this summer!

Well done Kief!!! Guess who's going to the 45 Run?

You! :D

What are the plans? Investment purposes only? :D Ah...., I kid, I kid.... I need to go to bed now.

Definitely would like to hit the 45 run, always seems like I have a lot to do.
As for the future of this rig, I don't plan on hanging on to it. I have other projects that aren't quite as demanding as this one would be (even though it is very tempting to take the plunge). I am realizing that my life is too short for all the projects I seem to take on. So yes, I would call it an investment of sorts.
I would prefer a troopy or a stretched 40 (43ish) on an LV or LWB frame eventually.
Plan to tinker with the ingnition and throttle cable today..
I will try to post more pics and get you the VIN Bull.

hey Bull sent you a PM with the VIN info..

Spent most of my after-work-noon catching up on things I've neglected I've realized the more I tinker with this rig the more I am teasing myself and putting off stuff that needs to get done so I am going to move this to the for sale section.. yeah, that didn't take long did it.

I know

no way dude, keep it and drive it. you'll dig it the most!

I took it for a drive around the neighborhood, I need to sell it fast, seriously, it is growing on me and I need to finish something- at least one thing- anything! My wife is really patient and needs to see something besides yard ornaments.

Very nice rig!

You should paint the roof and the rims red!
