After breaking another leaf spring at the RCQ race I decided I was not going to spend any more money making leaves work. With the help of Wayne from Alltech Motorsports and support from Ruffstuff and Bilstein, I now have a 4 link rear with a 3 link front in the works!

Front springs are out. I moved the front axle forward 2" and cycled the suspension. It looks like this front axle will work so I am going to go with it.

Full bump

Looking good, Rob.

Some updated pics.I lost count of how many pieces it took to make the frame brackets for the front upper links. Lots of time spent with the plasma cutter, poster board, and the welder!

I got the links made up and installed. Also shock mounts tacked in place. Now jus to make the bump stops mounts and finish welding/painting everything...simple right?

A few more pics and views

Ride hieght is now 6' 10" to top of cab with a 20" belly. truck looks a lot lower than before. I need to trim the front bumper since the axle is pushed so far forward, should make for better aproach angles.

How did the spring rates/ride heights work out?

With no preload:

front compressed 8 1/4" 12" travel

rear compressed 7 3/4" 14" travel

I will call Wayne on monday and see what he wants to change. The back may work. I think I heard the front springs squeal as the weight set on them... 225/300's
