Wanted 40 series sliding window frame

Hello Mud,

I'm looking for a set of sliding side curtain window frames from the '79-'84 40 series. These are the ones found on troopies, LXs and 43 hard tops.

I have all the glass, latches and new weather stripping from City Racer, etc but my frames are mangled; as you can see.

I'd also be interested in a complete set or even the old Spector Off Road 40 series slider windows for the pre-'77 40 series.

Josh, I may have what you need! I have a couple troopy tops in my junk pile! I will try to take a look this afternnoon to see if they are usable. I did sell one a year or two ago and it was it was in great shape!

Thank you for the offer mate.

But I already have the glass (which I've had tinted) and latches (freshly painted with vinyl paint) which came on my 43 and all new seals, felts and rubber from City Racer. I just need good frames.

I'll be back in Adelaide with the family in July (they'll be there 5 weeks, I'm going to be there 2), so I can get them then most likely. Then I'll just bring them back as carry on.

I'm just really hoping to finish it up before then. Plus I don't want to spend the shipping and duties for complete windows: heavy and bulky, Lord knows what shipping will be these days with Australia not refining any of its own jet fuel or diesel any more.

Still looking for a frame for the right side. I'm hoping to find one before I go back to Australia.

The new one I ordered from Amayama is not actually available, despite it saying they had 2 in stock.

Mine is beyond salvageable.

So I'm back to the drawing board. Looking for a right side frame for a factory 40 series slider. Just need the frame. I've got everything else. Anyone?
