I ended up with my shocks outboarded like that on Kate toward the end of the tub, but I had to cut the tub. I think that guy has Dana 60's though and the extra width on the axle itself may be the only way to outboard the shocks like that.

I've looked at it a thousand times on my stock 40 rear housing. If you got real creative you might could pull it off, but it would be damn close...and I would have no problems cutting a hole in the tub. He's got full width tons on that truck, and it's a sweet fxxxing build.

I want an FC rig when I grow up.

From scratch. Spindle from Iron Pig and latch is a De Stan Co like Metal Tech uses on their stuff. We basically just copied Jrobs bumper with a few extras.

Sure. It's just metal and paint. The hardest part is to tie the bottom of the spindle into the bottom skin of the bumper so that it is supported in double shear. Torch/drill the appropriate hole in the top of the bumper, build/modify spindle so that it sits flush on the inside of the bottom skin, torch/drill the bottom of the bumper so that you can plug weld the bottom of the spindle in. Done deal.

Thanks Bossman. I spoke with Slee, and they, for the most part, advised me "it couldn't be done." Not believing them, I decided to post it on here for the "can do" crowd......I'll look into it further. Spindle from Iron Pig the best route?

The only reason I can think they don't want you to add to that bumper is that they feel the steel is not thick enough.

Either way I can't believe it would not be fine to add a swing out.
