Yep and it never rattled once. Hey Bomar I'm gonna see if I can get 20 years out of that spare tire! It's an Armor All experiment!Have you been rocking that tire on a stock carrier?

Finished product. Turned out great! Thanks to Jrob and JT for yet another successful project! Always fun putting in some shop time with you guys!
A slight departure from topic: Would it be possible to install a spindle / swingout in an existing bumper? (Specifically, a Slee 100 bumper without a swingout)From scratch. Spindle from Iron Pig and latch is a De Stan Co like Metal Tech uses on their stuff. We basically just copied Jrobs bumper with a few extras.

Thanks Bossman. I spoke with Slee, and they, for the most part, advised me "it couldn't be done." Not believing them, I decided to post it on here for the "can do" crowd......I'll look into it further. Spindle from Iron Pig the best route?Sure. It's just metal and paint. The hardest part is to tie the bottom of the spindle into the bottom skin of the bumper so that it is supported in double shear. Torch/drill the appropriate hole in the top of the bumper, build/modify spindle so that it sits flush on the inside of the bottom skin, torch/drill the bottom of the bumper so that you can plug weld the bottom of the spindle in. Done deal.
