I have a 40-45 tailgate that I purchased for a project that I am no longer going to do. The hardware that attaches to the truck is also included, as well as the chains and license plate holder. I hate to get rid if it but it's just sitting on a shelf.

as of 4-25-05

I just got an email from the person I purchased the tailgate from, he thought it was $450 with shipping. I am hopefully closer to reality!

Hope these pics attach..

By the way, that is bare metal you are looking at. The thing has beem blasted clean of al the paint. It is ready for primer and final paint. The parts that bolt to the cruiser body are yellow but can be blasted clean if you wish.
The pics sure don't do it justice!

and feel free to post questions here vs pm's. I will answer any and al as they come up.

georg,
i am beginning to think you are the secret hoarder of all parts ultra rare! am I right?!

I have been hoarding for years and lately have been selling-giving extras. Need to make room for other new junk I guess.

nah, my stash isn't that big at all, but i do have a few odd ballparts. unless i know i can use them in the not too far from now future, i normally just try to find happy homes for the stuff i get. not enough room to store everything and what good is it for me to hoard crap?
i just got an extra 45lv fuel tank the other day and gave it to a buddy because he needed one. and yesterday i donated a PTO driveshaft to a 45swb project. i'd rather see the stuff get put to use than clutter my limited garage space. :grinpimp:

i need to get a shop!!!

The problem around here is that there aren't that many fj guys that close. I know they are around, but not as many as you guys out west!

Not to mention that "rust belt" thing.....I am in it.

Might have a buyer for ya Goebs. I'll know tomorrow fo sho. :)

i might be intereste so price and location would be great

Done. :)

SOLD

Thanks to all for your interest, the tailgate is going to Cali in hopes of permenetally avoiding the rust belt! Chicago is no place for a nice clean cruiser part!

Mark is going to put it to great use.

Thanks.
