Just an FYI: Yesterday morning I saw a what looked like from 50-yards away anyway a nice looking beige 40 with a For Sale sign in the windshield.

We saw it after shopping at Winco. Didn't stop but saw lot's 'O diamond plate for rust to hide behind.
But it could be good, depending on the price. We may take a look tomoroww if we have time in the morning.

There is an FJ40 for sale in my backyard with no diamond plate and hardly any rust if anyone is interested.

X2 it would probably sell for that price if it ran.

I would expect it to sell for twice that much if it ran, based on what I have seen sell on here and in Trails. EVERYTHING is original on this thing from the hub caps to the jack to the canvas. It isn't a good deal if you want to build a wheeler, but I think that it is a good deal if you want an original FJ40 because you won't get nickle and dimed trying to find all of the correct parts. I am flexible on the price but this is the best resto candidate I've seen in a long time. If I can't get my money out of it I'll just hold on to it and restore it for a driver when I have the time/money.

Agreed, if you find a buyer looking for a resto rig.

I was talking about the street prices for 40's in the Reno area.
