Just an FYI: Yesterday morning I saw a what looked like from 50-yards away ;) anyway a nice looking beige 40 with a For Sale sign in the windshield.

We saw it after shopping at Winco. Didn't stop but saw lot's 'O diamond plate for rust to hide behind. ;)
But it could be good, depending on the price. We may take a look tomoroww if we have time in the morning.

I would expect it to sell for twice that much if it ran, based on what I have seen sell on here and in Trails. EVERYTHING is original on this thing from the hub caps to the jack to the canvas. It isn't a good deal if you want to build a wheeler, but I think that it is a good deal if you want an original FJ40 because you won't get nickle and dimed trying to find all of the correct parts. I am flexible on the price but this is the best resto candidate I've seen in a long time. If I can't get my money out of it I'll just hold on to it and restore it for a driver when I have the time/money.

Agreed, if you find a buyer looking for a resto rig.

I was talking about the street prices for 40's in the Reno area.
