4 speed to 3 speed tcase

Just for fun I’ll add this info.
Some regions retained the 3sp transmission and mated the later 4sp t-case to it also. I have said gear. I just don’t have the proper input bearing. 10 spline input 31 teeth to match the 4sp tcase gears.

Doing some research this gear in the three speed with the later transfer case with wider gear used a different idler gear and low range output gear. So it has the lower gearing like the early three speed transfer case. While costly you could put these wider idler gear and low range gear into the 4/75-7/80 one piece T case four speed case. Not sure if Canada got the H41 but US only had the FJ40 and FJ55 that had the H42 1/74-7/80. First gear in the H42 is closer to the J30 three speed first gear than the H41 first gear. But Toyota only used the higher geared transfer case in H42 like the H41.
