I decided to weld the cowl shut. All it did was accumulate leaves and grime. We cut a piece of .16 guage sheetmetal and will weld it in place next week.
The doors are hung back in place. Gaps aren't adjusted yet but we'll get to that a bit later.
We fabbed up some bumper to frame brackets.... those are designed to keep the ends of the bumper from shakingand making noises.
Still wIting for the parts i ordered. At this point , we're keeping busyby doing all that can be done for now.

Let there be lights ! Tail lights that is.....We installed the tail lights into the rear bumper.
I frenched them into the bumper to protect them from a direct hit from the back.

I got a decent deal on a Dobinsons 2.5 " lift kit . I was pleasantlysurprised to receive it here only about 8 days after ordering. I can't tell you enough how happy i am about this.
My new door locks partially came in too. I ordered a set of 4 for this thing and another set of 2 for my 40. Only 2 showed up and they're both for passenger doors. I decided not to let these problems and delays get to me anymore. So, in the sake of my mental heLth, i'll keep smiling and order more. Who knows, theyight actually get it right next time.
My wire harness came in this passed week also, but my ecu hasn't yet.
it seems well done. I sent it to Adam at LSXHarnesses.com . I hsent him the one from the donor car and it came back looking like it was on a strict diet, lol.
Those parts arriving here mark a new era of this build. While we continue to fix and adjust different parts of the body, we hope to finally be done with that .... i mean , it has been 26 months (and counting).

It's been a while since i posted anything here. I am now facing a new dilemma. I need to install my shifter and i am not too sure which one would work best for my setup. I also have to install the shifter for the black box and the Hi and low gear shifters. Looks like there will be many sticks going thru that tranny hump . I'd realy like to see what other members with Northwest Fab black boxes did with theirs. Trying not to cut more holes than necessary. I also want a Tuffy style console between the front seats.... there might not be any space left for much after that
Anyone with ideas , pictures of their set up, advice on the brst way to get it done, please, feel free to post them here . Thanks in advance.

Here’s what I did, I have a SM 465 4 speed trans, NP203 range box with a FJ60 split case using a custom adapter. I made my own linkage from flat stock and nylon bushings with stick shifters reworked to fit. I don’t love it, but it works and it’s well forward so no interference between the seats. One day I’ll redo it with rods and Heim joints, for now it works.

Just spent the morning reading through your build. It was one of the best Sunday mornings I've spent in a long time.

Your work is impressive and I love the result! I can't wait to see the final photos.
