4.88 Gears

hi guys

any body know the Original LC Gear Ratio ?? i am planning to change my gears to 4.88 i found them here

to change my tires to 35'' what did i need to order i dont want the lockers just gears and how is the Vehicle on the high way with this gears ???

4.30 until the 5speed came out then 4.10 I believe. IMO it's a mistake to put a R&P up front without ARB locker; it strengthens a weak OEM design...even if you don't ever put a compressor in and use the locker you'll still be ahead!

Yes - 4.30 w/ 4speed auto 4.11 w/ 5 spd auto. No gears are available that will work w/o replacing the carrier. check vendor marketplace section for more details

I just realized you are not in the US. On that one I would just need to know if it is a full float or semi float rear, and if it is factory locker or not. Is yours a solid front axle.

i am gonna order i dont have rear lockers ? so it would be complete more than $3000 do i need to change my clutch to HD or mine will fit ?

hoser how is ur LX with TOYO did u change ur gears ?

how its take time to replacing the pinion and gear ?

i dont have rear locker and mine IFS what u mean i think its full float same as UZJ100 just the engine deffirent's i would post some pictures.

i was planning to come to Dubai 4x4 to buy some acc... for my lc the problem i dont trust any shop to replace my gears also i dont know mine is semi float or ...... i want them when i ask cristo about the gears to build them then send it to me he told me its coast about $5000 know i have to know the parts i need them and instruction manuals !

The reason gears do not exist is that it would be hard to sell 100 rear gear sets that are specific to Landcruiser 100. In order to have them made, you would need AT VERY LEAST 100 sets of the same ratio. This investment + R&D would make the gears far more expensive than the options that exist currently. It is a fairly straight forward process, and the few extra parts that are needed when compared to the overall cost of the gear change, are minimal. See this for more info:
