Ad on Craigslist has complete rear-end with e-locker and matching front diff, with dash switch and computer from a 1998 4Runner. Price is $1000. Would it fit and work on a 1990 pickup? Price seems ok. I was planning on re-gearing later.

Would what work, the whole axle setup? The rear would but you have to cut off the coil spring mounts and put leaf spring mounts on it. The front won't work, diff on wrong side.

Seems like it would be a lot more work to modify the 4Runner axle (removing all the coils and links stuff, welding on perches), than just modifying your existing axle housing. And, in that case, $1000 for a used e-locker seems pretty steep.

My front one is a high pinion from an 80-series, rear is a TRD locker from a 4Runner. Both I regeared with 4.88s.
