i have two of these that were left behind as boat anchors. condition unknown, but they were always stored indoors. pretty sure one is a 67 and one is a 72-73. so one column shift and one floor shift.

Top covers and linkage/levers?
 
The front bearing retainers are good to keep with the stamped emblem, Lots of uses, same as pipe floor flanges, make a deck railing, put a pipe between two of them and have a heavy duty closet pole in the master bedroom, perhaps a chin-up bar, bend a couple 90's in some tubing and attach the bearing retainers to each end and you have toyota towel bars for the master bathroom. Also would make great handrail brackets. If you don't want them Georg, I'll take them. Really a nice piece of hardware. Mabye on the 2010 FJ45 run you could have a contest for the most creative use for a 3-speed front bearing retainer. Just an idea, John

Orange, I hope you don't mind a quick hijack:

I have a 3 speed tranny that was given to me by Brew8. I was considering doing the floor shift changeover on my 1970 FJ40. After I did some reading on Marks Off Road site, I decided my old school three-on-the-tree was too cool to get rid of. After reading this thread, I'll be looking at the bearing retainer and the suggested uses!

Repurposed cruiser parts

Over the 28 years I've been wrenching on cruisers, I've seen a lot of cruiser parts repurposed for different things. I couldn't find a thread anywhere on MUD about it, so I figured it was high time to start one! There have been mentions of scattered things here and there, but apparently not one...
