3RZ-FE Rebuild (2 Viewers)

I rebuilt my little 3rd gen 4runner this past summer.
Model: 1996 4Runner 3RZ-FE 2.7L Base Model, Manual Transmission, 2WD

Started with P0303 CEL Code (cylinder 3 misfire). Turned out to be a cracked head. Tore engine down, had re-machined, and returned as short block. Installed new head and rebuilt with nearly all new parts.

~1,500 miles in post-build and running strong!
Next up, I'll be rebuilding then installing a trans

How's this thing running? And where did you get the new head?

Just around 5k miles on it but so far so good!
I got the head through a local machine shop. Same shop I used to cleanup and assemble the short block.
Picked up a spare tranny for cheap which I'm going to (eventually) rebuild and install then I'll be done for a while.
